EEMBC and Members @Embedded World

The annual Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany, begins March 14th. EEMBC and its members have lots going on.

Conference Sessions

  1. “Heterogeneous Computing Architecture Performance and Optimization for ADAS and Mobile Imaging Applications”. Presented by Rafal Malewski (NXP) and Markus Levy (EEMBC) on March 15 from 16:30 - 17:00.
  2. “Paving the Road to IoT Interoperability”. Presented by Rob Oshana (NXP) and Markus Levy (EEMBC) on March 14 from 10:00 - 10:30.
  3. “Hands-on Workshop - Ultra Low Power”. Presented by Herman Roebbers (Altran) on March 15 from 10:30 - 17:30.

Demonstrations in the Exhibit Halls

  1. The STMicro booth (HALL 4A-138) will be demonstrating the EEMBC ULPBench Core and Peripheral profile on several products. There will also be a demonstration on the new EEMBC EnergyMonitor 2.0.
  2. All conference attendees are invited to the Microchip booth (Hall 1-510) to see a live demo of a capacitive touch keyboard application running on the SAML21, and to learn more about this device's low-power and advanced and efficient power debugging capabilities. The SAML21 microcontroller was certified by EEMBC using the ULPBench benchmark (claimed to be the lowest-power Cortex M0+ MCU in the market).
  3. Green Hills Software’s, Greg Davis (Director Compiler Engineering) will present 4 compiler classes in his booth’s theatre (Hall 4-325) pointing out how Green Hills uses EEMBC code during testing of its own compiler/tool-chain products. He will also present Guidelines for “Writing Efficient C/C++ Code“ on Wednesday March 15 13:30-14:30.
  4. Somnium Technology’s, Dave Edwards (founder & CEO/CTO), will give a series of presentations in the Microchip speakers' corner (Hall 1, Stand 510). March 15-10:00-10:30 and March 16, 12:00-12:30. The presentation includes benchmark results with EEMBC demonstrating another set of improvements in DRT3.7 which will be launched at the show.

EEMBC @Linley Autonomous Hardware Conference

This one-day conference, focusing on hardware design for autonomous vehicles and deep learning, will include a presentation by EEMBC president, Markus Levy “Evaluating Processor Architectures for ADAS”. EEMBC will also have a live demonstration of the prototype of its new ADAS benchmark.
Attendance is free to qualified online registrants. April 6, 2017. Hyatt Regency Hotel, Santa Clara, CA

EEMBC Expands In-house Testing Services

The EEMBC Technology Center benchmark testing services include porting the benchmarks to the target platform(s), running the benchmarks and reporting scores, comparing different hardware platforms and different hardware configurations, and comparing different tool chains and different optimization options.
