Industry-Standard Benchmarks for Embedded Systems
EEMBC, an industry alliance, develops benchmarks to help system designers select the optimal processors and understand the performance and energy characteristics of their systems. EEMBC has benchmark suites targeting cloud and big data, mobile devices (for phones and tablets), networking, ultra-low power microcontrollers, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital media, automotive, and other application areas. EEMBC also has benchmarks for general-purpose performance analysis including CoreMark, MultiBench (multicore), and FPMark (floating-point).

Benchmarks in Development

IoTMark Benchmark
A suite of benchmarks to test the combined microcontroller+RF components (e.g. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, LoRA) to help with device optimization and sorting out the landscape on competitive products.

SecureMark Benchmark
Measures the performance, energy, and memory impact of the combined microcontroller and hardware and/or software security products. Uses multiple security profiles representing popular IoT applications.

ADASMark Benchmark
Heterogeneous compute benchmark to analyze the performance of SoCs targeting autonomous driving. Allows the user to determine the optimal utilization of available compute resources, such as the CPU, GPU, and hardware accelerators.

IoT-Gateway Benchmark
Utilizes a distributed approach with client-server interactions and workloads to ensure meaningful comparisons between gateway products.

Measures latency and throughput of scale-out servers. Memcached and Media Streaming in Beta. Next workloads include Origin Webserver, Load Balancing, and MySQL
